The challenge

Strang, a leading architecture and interior design firm, faced a significant challenge in managing their construction administration documentation. Critical tasks like site visit reports, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes were handled manually, and outdated processes optimized for GC workflows and tools like Procore, created inefficiencies and redundancies.

These time-consuming tasks pulled architects away from their core responsibilities, like design oversight, and increased the likelihood of errors and project delays. The sheer volume of paperwork made construction administration a particularly difficult phase for the firm.

The shift

Strang turned to Part3 to streamline their construction administration process. Part3’s centralized platform allowed them to consolidate and automate key documentation tasks, including site visit reports, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes, all in one place. The platform's real-time collaboration feature reduced the risk of errors and duplicated efforts, facilitating faster decision-making and smoother communication across teams.

By automating these workflows, Strang took back control over how their teams work. This allowed them to significantly reduced the time and resources required for documentation, allowing their team to focus on more critical, value-driven work.

The results

Before implementing Part3, Strang required two full-time employees to manage construction administration documentation. Thanks to the efficiencies gained with Part3, they need just one part-time employee to manage the same workload.

This dramatic improvement in efficiency has optimized their internal processes and allowed Strang to offer more competitive fees to their clients.

“Part3 was such a dramatic change from our old spreadsheet technology. The user-friendliness and streamlined processes have made a significant impact on our workflow.”

“Before adopting Part3, our CA team was buried in paperwork and manual tasks. As we grew, we needed a more efficient system to manage RFIs, submittals, and field reports. Part3 has been cost-effective, scalable, and able to grow with us.”

CTO at Strang
